The seeds to the idea of M 6:8 Legal came from Micah 6:8 which says, ‘act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before your God’.
When the principal of the practice, Mabel Chua was young, she listened to her father describe the blessings and importance of having a trusted lawyer in business who cared genuinely for him and the welfare of his family enterprise. Her father described times when his lawyer would bring valuable input into meetings to secure the next contract, or to settle looming disputes.
Many years later, Mabel realised that her father’s experience was an exception, not a norm. Due to bad experiences, many think that lawyers cannot be trusted so they avoid getting legal advice until things get out of hand.
At M 6:8 Legal, we want to be part of a new breed of lawyers that can be trusted. We believe that fairness and justice is achievable, and we are playing our part to bring change.
Our dream is to see a world where people:
- are savvy about their legal rights and obligations;
- treat others fairly; and
- foster commercial relationships which are healthy and profitable, as well as enduring the test of challenging times.
This drives what we do, why we do it and how we do it.
We move quickly and work thoroughly to figure out what are the best options for our client’s legal problem and state the solutions in simple terms.
Our clients are families and small to medium sized businesses preferring direct access to experienced senior lawyers who are straightforward, warm and passionate about law. Our lawyers are committed to working together with individuals, and the management team of businesses to devise clear just strategies and solutions to resolve legal issues.
