Mabel Chua started her legal career working in the commercial and property division of a Perth City law firm. She then expanded into commercial litigation and dispute resolution, which now, is her main area of practice.

Mabel has a particular interest in disputes and transaction involving technical financial issues. She has extensive experience in representing businesses and individuals in a wide range of transactions and disputes.

Mabel takes instructions on matters in the Federal, Supreme, District and Magistrates Court as well as the State Administrative Tribunal.

  • Representing and advising company administrators and creditors in respect of company administrations and liquidations;

  • Advising and representing creditors and debtors in applications to set aside statutory demand and winding up of companies;

  • Making and defending urgent Court applications, such as interlocutory injunctions, removal of caveats, extension of caveats;

  • Representing and advising company directors on corporate governance issues;

  • Advising companies and not-for-profit organisations concerning corporate governance issues;

  • ​Resolving disputes between investors and trustees in breach of trust matters;

  • Representing tenants in the State Administration Tribunal in Retail Shops disputes;

  • Negotiating and resolving disputes involving valuation evidence;

  • Representing property developers in dispute with buyers arising from off the plan sale of land contracts;

  • Resolving strata title disputes;

  • Representing beneficiaries of a deceased estate in an action for interpretation in Wills in the Supreme Court;

  • Resolving long running disputes between beneficiaries of a deceased estate;

  • Actions for debt recovery;

  • Wills and estate planning to advice to families and individuals, including people with complex financial affairs.

 

Mabel serves as a volunteer with various charities and not-for-profit organisations.  In her spare time, Mabel loves to cook for a crowd and host guests in her home. Mabel also finds great delight in listening to music of different genres and playing the piano.

Margaret Sandford commenced her 30 year legal career in Perth in 1983. She has practised in commercial litigation, criminal law, family law and commercial conveyancing, including 4 years in London’s Fleet Street.

 

Margaret brings to clients her vast drafting and negotiating experience, a broad legal background, and a plain English approach to written and verbal communications.

 

Over the years Margaret has advised all types of clients including: individuals, partnerships, companies, family trusts, unit trusts, and small to medium sized and family businesses, such as pharmacists, doctors, nursing home proprietors, and many types of franchisees. Margaret is fluent in both spoken and written Italian.

 

Currently Margaret is focused on providing advice, and/or preparing general commercial documents, relating to the following matters and transactions:

 

  • Partnership, shareholders & unit holders agreements;

  • Buy sell (business succession) agreements;

  • Franchise agreements;

  • Leases; Assignments of Lease and Sub-leases;

  • Terms & Conditions of Trade;

  • ​Loans, mortgages, and general security agreements under the PPSR;

  • Joint venture agreements;

  • Distributorship & Licence Agreements;

  • Share and/or unit sale or purchases; and

  • Contracts of Sale, including due diligence enquiries; and acting on the settlement of sales or purchases of commercial, industrial or residential properties; and businesses;

  • Default or termination notices;

  • Sale of shares in companies or units in unit trusts;

  • Wills and Estate planning, including Enduring Powers of Attorney; and

  • Probate, Letters of Administration, and deceased estate administration, such as transfer of assets requiring Landgate applications and Transfers of Land.

 

A local resident, Margaret can be seen cycling and walking on the riverside paths, and kayaking on the Swan River. Margaret also assists various not-for-profit organisations in her spare time.

Dinah Wulff

Dinah Wulff completed a combined Bachelor of Laws / Arts (Psychology) at the University of Western Australia, before practicing in commercial law. Her experience includes property, trusts, contracts, employment, insolvency, corporations law, and acting for banks.

 

Dinah has worked in disability advocacy, assisting NDIS participants in their internal and external review applications.

 

She has also enjoyed tutoring in Commercial Practice, Trusts Law and Legal Ethics at the UWA Law School, delivering guest lectures.

 

Dinah is passionate about justice and seeing people live their fullest lives. She enjoys volunteer work in the community, helping those in crisis, trauma and disability.

One of Dinah’s highest achievements is doing life with her family. There is never a dull moment with four children and two dogs, camping adventures, soccer games, and endless laundry.
